A Minibus for Mission: Supporting Internationals in Exeter
At Outreach Southwest, our heart beats for the internationals who now call Exeter home—those seeking sanctuary, safety, and a fresh start. Over the past few years, we’ve had the privilege of walking alongside hundreds of people seeking sanctuary and refugees, offering friendship, practical support, and pastoral care in partnership with local churches and agencies.
Now, we’re inviting you to help us take the next step in this journey: raising funds for a community minibus.
Why a Minibus?
Transportation is more than just logistics—it’s about connection. Many of the people we serve live in temporary accommodation on the outskirts of the city, often isolated from community hubs, churches, and essential services. A minibus would allow us to:
Bring families to church services, community events, and social gatherings
Transport volunteers and supplies to outreach locations
Enable spontaneous acts of kindness—like a trip to the beach or a visit to the countryside
In short, it’s a vehicle for belonging.
Rooted in Partnership
This vision isn’t ours alone. We’re proud to work alongside Refugee Support Devon, Devon County Council, and a network of churches and volunteers who share our commitment to welcoming the stranger. Together, we’ve seen lives transformed—not just through programmes, but through relationships.
The minibus will strengthen these partnerships, allowing us to respond more flexibly and compassionately to the needs of our international neighbours.
How You Can Help
We’ve launched a fundraising campaign through Crowdfunder to make this dream a reality. Every donation—large or small—brings us closer to putting wheels on our mission.

Whether you’re able to give, share the campaign, or pray for its success, we’re deeply grateful. Together, we can ensure that no one in our city feels forgotten or left behind.
Thank you for journeying with us.
